Denmark on a world map shows the Kingdom, a nation in northwestern Europe, residing on the Jutland peninsula and its major islands of Zealand and Funen. This country is located between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, north of Germany, and west of Sweden, over the maritime link Kattegat between the North and the Baltic Sea.

With a land area of about 43,094 km² Denmark is one the smallest of the Scandinavian countries, just moderately bigger than Switzerland, or a little less than twice the size of the U.S. State of Massachusetts.
