With a land area of about 43,094 km² Denmark is one the smallest of the Scandinavian countries, just moderately bigger than Switzerland, or a little less than twice the size of the U.S. State of Massachusetts.

And the country shares maritime borders with Iceland, Canada, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
